Sensitively written Graham. There are a lot of "sore" investors at the moment. I think these sort of reminder pieces are useful because the temptation to get involved is there everytime we read some commentators recommendation and there seem to be a lot of experts in the field. With interest rates rising alongwith the cost of living, increasingly I believe the time to find out who isn't wearing a bathing costume (to coin Warren Buffetts nice analogy) is nearing.

Great summary of a great tragedy for some. During my learning period 'EVERYONE' said to steer clear of Biotech and Mining as they both rely on expectations of finding some wonder drug or mineral find. Consequently sudden bad news causes shock which can hit the share price at ANY time. Profit warnings with knobs on! People seem to have forgotten that and see it as an opportunity to hit their own gold vein.

There have been numerous technical sell points since 2015 which upsets me as they are so clear to see, if you have some chart reading ability. This would have saved people from the long term holding misery they endured AND the years lost when their money could have been in FAANG stocks, for example. A double whammy.

In the absence of an interest in charting; if only people followed O'Neil's, and other's, risk management strategy of selling at a MAXIMUM loss of 8% IGNORING anything they've seen or read.

It genuinely hurts me to see this unnecessary suffering.
